Chernabog (originally from Fantasia) is a Song Demon that lives on Symphonia in the Solana Galaxy, on Bald Mountain. Millions of years ago, Demise created Chernabog from Music Firstborn, Meloetta's negative chi, and Chernabog became one of the Six Demon Saints.
Appearance[]
Chernabog is a colossal, skyscraper-high demon with a slim, though muscular body. He has rounded horns on his bald head and glowing yellow slits for eyes. He has fangs in his mouth, and his face is always scrunched in anger. His body is a blackish-blue, and he has tremendous bat-wings that can cover his body and make him appear part of Bald Mountain.
Personality[]
Chernabog doesn't speak, only roars while creating his dark notes. He likely feels nothing but evil and hatred, his only conscience telling him to bring despair to everyone, and he strongly detests good feelings or light.
Powers[]
Chernabog is immune to almost all physical attacks except musicbending, his own element. Made up of Music Spirit, Meloetta's dark chi, Chernabog sings and controls evil soundwaves that can spread across Symphonia and induce fear and cold in all who hear him. As musicbending brings life to what his soul desires, he can create realistic illusions of demons and natural disasters, such as deadly wind and rising lava. Chernabog's body is the primary breeding source of dementors, phantom beings who eat mortal souls and are usually tamed by magical officials, and he can send dementors to do his bidding. His titanic size makes him very strong physically, and inside his body, like most demons, is a vast alternate dimension.
If Chernabog is awakened before the one-year mark, he will appear in a much younger form, such as a baby if he's awakened not long after he falls asleep. In this form, Chernabog's Music Chi is amplified, and he can deafen all mortals within ten miles.
Weaknesses[]
Because he was created from Meloetta, the Music Firstborn can control and subdue the demon. However, he is able to overpower Meloetta if she's weak enough, swallowing her to add her chi to his own. The holy chimes of the Three Goddess bells make him afraid and force Chernabog into slumber on Bald Mountain. The only power that can generally damage Chernabog is musicbending, and beautiful notes full of love and light hurt especially.
