Purple Rose is a one-shot written by Numbuh 6.13, taking place in the Nextgen Series. At 4:00 in the morning, Haruka Dimalanta is sitting depressedly on a swingset. Lee Andrew Grayson comes to ask her what's wrong, and Haruka replies she thinks she's a freak with her poisonbending powers. Lee tries to tell her otherwise, telling her about how her dad used to be evil, but he met her mom and joined the good side. Lee tells her that, while she thinks she's a freak in her eyes, in his eyes she's a rose that's turned a pretty purple. Lee leaves, and Haruka sees that he left a purple rose. Haruka takes the rose and walks home, and two years later, a purple rose bush bloomed in her garden.
